The inspiration behind Steampunk stems from mechanical gears, industrial light, tarnished metals, and inventive eyewear all juxtaposed against a more feminine, organic and whimsical atmosphere. This shoot features 5 vignettes all designed around this theme. Our tablescape includes materials of silver, cedar, and brass softened by blush floral, succulents, mustard linen, and curious magnifying glass. The place cards are accented with miniature whiskey delights and skeleton keys. The lounge is a luxurious spread of mustards and rich browns surrounded by vintage trunks and cameras complete with elegant sofas and wingback chairs.
Organic and rich desserts sit sweetly atop mismatched platters surrounded by draping floral and old bedsprings adorned with tantalizing tags…let them eat cake… Whiskey poured out of timeworn decanters by our charming mustached bartender flows into heavy glass tumblers garnished with pomegranate, citrus, and sprigs of rosemary and mint. Last but certainly not least, our ceremony features a 6-foot chalkboard with an airy quote and majestic ship framed in by stacks of suitcases and more vintage trunks. Our bridal party is dressed to the nines with the ladies in ethereal gowns and dramatic make-up and the gentlemen in dapper suits and top hats.
“Ships and sails proper for the heavenly air should be fashioned.”– Johannes Kepler
